34th BEST COUNTRY TO LIVE IN BY NEWSWEEK

The prestigious Newsweek magazine of the US evaluated Lithuania as 34th in The World‘s Best Countries rating, estimating the greatest countries (a total of 100) to live in worldwide. Lithuania was ranked higher than Latvia, Belarus and Russia.

Countries were ranked according to Education, Health, Quality of Life, Economic Dynamism and Political Environment criteria.

Listed as a Northern European country with small population and middle income, Lithuania was ranked high in the category of Political Environment due to its high level of democracy and political stability, scoring 26th. Also, Newsweek brought Lithuania to the 28th place in the category of Education.

In total, Lithuania scored 71.40 points. First places in the rating were received by Finland, Switzerland, Sweden, Australia and Luxembourg.
