Information about Mandatory Military Service

Lithuanian citizens subject to military service (those not exempt from military obligations) who move abroad for longer than six months must immediately notify the regional division of the Military Service and Recruitment Department (the division covering the area where the conscript lived before leaving) of their actual residence abroad and provide other contact details (email address, phone number). This information is necessary to contact conscripts in the event of mobilization or when they are called for mandatory military service.

Notification about the conscript’s actual residence abroad and other contact details, along with a scanned/photo copy of the identity document (passport or ID card), should be sent to the regional division of the Military Service and Recruitment Department.
