BRIGHT PURPLE OPENS OFFICE IN LITHUANIA

Bright Purple, the Scottish recruitment specialist for IT and financial service organisations, opened its second international office in Vilnius aimed at a greater presence in eastern and northern European markets.

The Edinburgh-based company carried out the investment project in cooperation with Invest Lithuania, a public consultancy which services foreign investors free of charge.

The expansion follows last year’s opening of Bright Purple’s first international office in Singapore. The move has helped the company to nearly double its turnover to £37m.

“There are some great early-stage opportunities in this part of Europe, where a number of these economies are developing more quickly than in other parts of the continent,” said Nick Price, Bright Purple’s chief executive. “Lithuania is a very strategic position for international expansion to Russia, mainland Europe and Scandinavia.”

Founded in 1995, Bright Purple specialises in finding IT and financial service talents for blue-chip organisations, small and medium enterprises as well as start-ups.
