CELEBRATION OF THE LIFTING OF VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR LITHUANIAN TRAVELERS TO CANADA

On 5 March 2008, Lithuania, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland hosted a reception in Ottawa to celebrate the lifting of visa requirements for travelers from these countries to Canada. Canada’s decision was a big step towards visa-free travel with all European Union countries. Immigration Minister Diane Finley announced the decision at a press conference on 1 March 2008 in Mississauga, Ont.
