EU Ambassadors Meet with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney

The Ambassador, Egidijus Meilūnas, participated in an inspiring meeting of European Union ambassadors with Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney. The Prime Minister emphasized that Canada and Europe are united by the same values, which makes our cooperation sustainable and future oriented.

Discussion addressed the transformation of Canada’s economy, trade diversification, and the significant new opportunities opening up for both Canadian and European businesses. Topics also covered shared security challenges, the strengthened EU–Canada cooperation in defense and security, Canada’s contribution to the security of the Baltic Sea region, and continued support for Ukraine.

Canada and Europe are bound by close friendship and a strategic partnership in the fields of economy, security, and defense.
