On September 28, Ambassador of Lithuania to Canada Darius Skusevicius participated in the first Vancouver Lithuanian Professionals Business Forum, titled "From Vilnius to Vancouver: Building Business and Bridges." The event brought together Lithuanian professionals and business leaders from Western Canada and the United States.

The Ambassador highlighted key sectors of the Lithuanian economy and the country's potential, emphasizing that despite the distance, Lithuania and Canada share a common vision for innovation and economic development. Lithuanian Minister of the Economy and Innovation Ausrine Armonaite greeted the participants via video message. During the forum, Embassy's economist Ingrida Darašaitė presented opportunities for collaboration between Lithuanian and Canadian companies. Canadian businesses and investors were invited to visit Lithuania and explore the potential of these important sectors.

Lithuania and British Columbia have the potential to develop cooperation in the fields of life sciences, financial technology, and cybersecurity.

During the visit to Vancouver, Lithuanian delegation met with representatives from British Columbia Trade and Investment Office, the Vancouver startup acceleration program, and visited Lithuanian school in Vancouver, as well as hiked with the British Columbia Hiking Club.
