Join us for a Tribute Run "Road of Life and Death"

On the 11th of January Lithuanians all around the world are invited to join a Tribute Run "Road of Life and Death" in commemoration of the Day of Defenders of Freedom. In Canada this Tribute Run will be organised on the Ottawa Rideau canal running path. We kindly invite all willing to join to register at event.ca@urm.lt until 8th of January, Wednesday, 17:00 Ottawa time.

This symbolic run is not a race, thus it is a low intensity run. Overall length of the run is approximately 9 km along the Rideau canal (4.5 km forward + 4.5 km back). Depending on the individual fitness level of a runner it would take 60-70 min. to complete.

Participants are invited to gather on the 11th of January, Saturday, at 11:00 by the fountain of the Confederation Park nearby the Ottawa City Hall (Laurier Ave W & Elgin St, Ottawa, ON K1P 5J2).

All participants are kindly invited to register in advance. In case the minimum number of participants is not reached the event might be cancelled and all registered participants informed.

Tribute Run started in Lithuania in 1992 and each year more Lithuanian communities and embassies from around the world join this initiative.
