LITHUANIA SHOWS FASTEST ASSIMILATION OF EU FINANCIAL SUPPORT

The European Commission reports that Lithuania is the EU leader in assimilating support from EU Structural Funds. Lithuania has received EUR 538,39 million, which makes 7.9 % of all Structural Funds’ support for the country for the period of 2007-2013.
Lithuania is followed by Ireland (6.1 %), Estonia (4.8 %) and Germany (3.9 %). All EU countries have so far assimilated 1.2 % of EU Structural Funds‘ support.
The Government of Lithuania reports that Lithuania has utilized 3 times more of the EU money during the eight months of the present year in comparison with 2007-2008.
