Lithuania Strengthens Its Profile in the Canadian Tourism Market
From October 30 to November 1, Lithuania showcased its rich cultural heritage, history, traditions and tourism opportunities at the International Tourism & Travel Show 2026 in Montreal. Lithuania’s participation was organized in cooperation with the Lithuanian community in Montreal.
The Lithuanian stand attracted considerable interest from exhibition visitors, who had the opportunity to learn more about the country’s history, culture, traditions and culinary heritage.
Growing interest in Lithuania is also reflected in tourism statistics. Last year, the number of Canadian tourists visiting Lithuania increased by an impressive 37%. More than 30,000 visitors attended this year’s Montreal tourism exhibition, making it an excellent opportunity to introduce Lithuania to a broad Canadian audience.
A new feature of this year’s presentation was a French-language informational brochure about Lithuania. It aims to introduce French-speaking audiences in Quebec and other regions to Lithuania’s history, culture and tourist attractions.
