LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILIES OF THE COPTIC COMMUNITY IN EGYPT

On 3 January, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis expressed condolences to Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit over the fatal bombing of a Coptic Orthodox Church in Alexandria.
“I condemn this bombing and express my sincere condolences to the bereaved families and the Government of Egypt,” the letter of A.Ažubalis reads.
According to latest data, at least 21 people were killed when a bomb exploded near the church as the New Year’s Eve service drew to a close.
