LITHUANIA'S GDP GROWTH EXCEEDING EU AVERAGE AND MOST OF EU-27
Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, has calculated that Lithuania’s 4th quarter (4Q 2010) GDP increased 1.7 %, and the yearly growth reached 4.4 %.
Higher quarterly and yearly growths were observed only in Finland (2.5 % and 5.8 %) and Estonia (2.3 % and 6.6 %).
GDP increased by 0.3 % in the euro area (EA-16) and by 0.2 % in the EU-27 during 4Q 2010, compared with the previous quarter, according to Eurostat. The yearly GDP increased by 2.0 % in EA-16 and by 2.1 % in the EU-27.
