LITHUANIA’S MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS IS TAKING CARE OF THE HUMANITARIAN AID CONSIGNMENT TO PAKISTAN
Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is taking care that the humanitarian aid, which the Government of Lithuania allocated to Pakistan on 31 August, should reach this flood-stricken country as soon as possible.
Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Lithuania’s Embassy in Denmark are coordinating the aid effort, and Lithuania’s Honorary Consul General in Pakistan Mohamed Masud Khan is delivering the consignment of humanitarian aid to Pakistan.
To eliminate the consequences of flood in Pakistan, the Government allocated ten tents and ten tent heaters from the national stockpile of the civil protection resources that is administrated by the Fire and Rescue Department. The consignment is estimated at 50 000 Litas (EUR 14 500).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also calls on Lithuanian citizens to contribute to the campaign of the Lithuanian Red Cross Society and donate for flood affected people in Pakistan. Please click here for the information on the bank accounts of the Lithuanian Red Cross Society.
