Meeting goals for the scientific cooperation segment:
· To network and share information about existing cooperation and future initiatives by institutions and individual experts
· To discuss opportunities and project proposals for promoting deeper scientific cooperation, including within the European Union Seventh Framework Programme (FP7)
· To explore possibilities for leveraging resources and capabilities from both countries
· To encourage participation in and recommendations for the upcoming World Lithuanian Conference on Science and Creativity to be held on July 3-5, 2011 in Kaunas and Vilnius and World Lithuanian Economic Forum on July 4-5, 2011 in Vilnius
· To make policy recommendations regarding the role of government in bringing scientific results to market
