This weekend, the Lithuanian community in Canada, together with representatives of Latvia, Estonia, and Ukraine—heroically fighting for its freedom— initiated a special solidarity concert "Baltic Dances for Ukraine".
During the charity afternoon at Anapilis, dedicated to supporting Ukraine, Lithuanian, Estonian, Latvian, and Ukrainian dance groups performed. Members of the Canadian Parliament, the Mayor of Mississauga, city council members, diplomats, and community representatives attended the event. Every dance, every round of applause, and every spoken word was filled with support for Ukraine, tirelessly fighting for its freedom and for the security of all Europe.
The atmosphere of the event radiated a remarkable sense of unity—one that transcends borders and languages. This compassion was also reflected in the donations collected for humanitarian aid in Ukraine—$25,000 was raised in just one evening. It is real, tangible support for those who need it most today.
