THE CLUB OF SIGNATORIES TO THE ACT ON LITHUANIAN INDEPENDENCE INVITES TO COMMEMORATE THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE “BALTIC WAY”

The Club of Signatories to the Act on Lithuanian Independence invites Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian Embassies and the communities of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia around the world to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Baltic Way on August 23, 2009 and thus to show the unity of three Baltic States as it was done on August 23, 1989 when almost 2 million Lithuanians, Latvians and Estonians formed a live chain of 620 km connecting Vilnius, Ryga and Tallin demonstrating the unanimous aspiration for their Independence.
