The legendary Lithuanian photographer Vytautas Luckus will be introduced to Canadian public in Ottawa this weekend

The legendary Lithuanian photographer Vytautas Luckus will be introduced to Canadian public in Ottawa during the second weekend of November. The participants of the events will have an opportunity to get acquainted with this historical personality in a few different ways – by seeing a documentary about photographer’s life, his photography exhibition and by meeting Vytautas Luckus relatives, who kindly agreed to come to Ottawa and share their memories with us.

Event program

November 17, Saturday
6 p.m. Lecture “The Relevance of Lithuanian Image Makers”. The speakers- Arūnas Baltėnas, contemporary Lithuanian photographer, and Charlotte Hale, curator and Canadian representative of Vitas Luckus work.
Doors open at 5 p.m.
Entrance fee – 15 CAD

November 18, Sunday
4 p.m. The screening of the internationally recognised documentary film about Vytautas Luckus life - “Master and Tatyana”. This film is a part of European Union film festival program in Canada www.cfi-icf.ca/euff
5.30 p.m. The meeting and Q&A with Tanya Aldag, Vitas Luckus wife and one of the main heroes of the film “Master and Tatyana”.
The exhibition of Vytautas Luckus photography will be open to public during this event.
