Virtual meeting between minister A. Armonaitė and Ontario minister V. Fedeli
On April 28, 2021, a virtual meeting between Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania, and Victor Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade of Ontario, took place. The meeting was also joined by Paul Victor Kuras, Honorary Consul General of Lithuania in Toronto, Jovita Neliupšienė, Vice minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania, and representatives of the Embassy of Lithuania to Canada.
The ministers discussed COVID-19 mitigation and economy boosting measures in Lithuania and Canada, political and economic relationship between the countries. The ministers agreed that additional measures to strengthen the business cooperation is needed, especially institutional collaboration in the fields of Fintech and Life Sciences. Virtual meetings to improve the collaboration of companies in these fields are planed for later this year.
